This impressive hardwood sculpture depicts a traditional hunter or warrior figure with a raised hand designed to hold a spear, staff, or ceremonial object. The figure wears a traditional headdress, carved beard, and shoulder satchel, all characteristic features associated with Kongo and Yombe carvings from Central Africa. Large carving made out of one piece of wood. About 19 inches tall. Good condition, no chips or cracks. It is a statue of biblical Samson who kil#ed 1000 Philistines using the jawbone of a donkey demonstrating his extraordinal strength grated by God. I don’t know the age or the artist. Perhaps some Black Forest style artist. Very nice piece of art.

27 inches long, 6 inches wide, 4 inches thick. This could be set on a table and used with dried flowers but we think it’s more suited to being mounted on a stand and displayed as the beautiful and abstract piece that it is. It has a hole at the larger end for this purpose.

A large and heavy early 20th Century hand carved wood squirrel mascot sculpture. Unclear what the initial purpose of this was. It does have some remnant paper attached to the tail, which could indicate a paper mâché mold, but as of today a lovely vintage sculpture, perfect for a child’s room, a retail shop, or general decor. Circa: Early 20th Century. Condition: Good and consistent with age. Dimensions: 16″ W x 9″ D x 18 H.
