This is my John DeMott oil rig statue very iconic very cool one of my favorite pieces found it in the attic, it’s a little dusty. This piece deserves a very good home. The statue weighs 2 pounds and stands 14 inches tall. The copper structure is mounted on a piece of quartz or rock.

Vintage Original Fine Mixed Media Wood Brass Iron Bird Sculpture Folk Art Statue. Cool old bird with hammered iron legs attached to a carved wood body. There are two brass panels on his back for wings, with hammered feathered details and neat pressed border designed set with tiny nails. The eyes are brass inlay and the beak a curved iron spike. Well made with lots of character. 3 1/2″ X 3 1/2″ Base. Excellent Condition: Minor wear. The neck and head area has a bit of a gap as shown.

Hand c arved Wooden Figure with Brass Base, mid-20th century Stylized carved wooden figure in warm-toned hardwood, mounted on a flat brass base. The sculpture depicts a nude African woman form with elongated proportions and smooth, flowing contours. The restrained modeling and polished surface reflect a modernist approach to figurative sculpture characteristic of mid-20th-century Austrian decorative arts. The work is consistent in style and materials with Viennese production of the period. T otal Height: 11 or 28 cm. The wooden figure shows minor surface wear consistent with age, including slight discoloration and scattered light surface scratches. All of our home decor and or accessories are in used Vintage condition showing at least minimal wear to finishes. Unless otherwise stated below, there will be NO structural damage. Additional cleaning/polishing may be desired/required. Thank you for considering this great piece! This piece is approx. 20 1/2″ Tall x 6 3/4″ x 9 1/2 and is made of what appears to be 2 or 3 different types of wood with brass and possibly bronze detailing. There is a small plate on the front inscribed 44/1000. I did not find any additional marks on this piece. Please note the seam along the Eagle/Falcon, otherwise no cracks or structural damage detected. The seam was there when received and does not feel as if it is altering the structural integrity of the piece. Overall, very nice condition with minimal if any finish wear as expected for age and use. Always happy to bundle!
