Condition: Good vintage condition with visible wear consistent with age, including minor scuffs and wear as shown in photos. Handcrafted horse figure made of solid wood with dark painted accents on the nose, hooves, and tail. Mounted on a wooden post with oval base for tabletop or floor display. Vintage Wood Carved LION Statue Merry-Go-Round Carousel Style HUGE 59 NOTE: there are seams where the statue was put together originally on the head, legs and tail. These are not repairs, are only slightly visible, and were original to the statue. In good condition, no chips or cracks noticed, some mild scratches on the tail as shown in the photos. Weighs approximately 60-70 pounds, (just a guess based on moving it). Approx 56″ long (nose to tail) x 42″ high x 19 wide Age and maker unknown, but believed to have been made in Italy.

T his is an authentic carousel horse carved out of solid rosewood and delicately painted ALL by hand by a master carver here in California decades ago by S&S Woodcarvers. This beautiful horse and many others were providing joyful rides for decades on elaborately designed life size merry-go-rounds. The metal pole is solid brass. The base is solid Pine Rosa. The eyes are real glass. The condition is very great to excellent. This unique piece of art measures: 36 inches wide by 61 inches high(57 inches up to the saddle).
