Vintage carved wood hand with heart in the palm – an Odd Fellows symbol. Mounted on a wooden block. There is loss of paint and chipping throughout – see photos to judge. 8.0″ W x 11.5″ H x 4.75 D including base. A polychrome folk art-style sculpture by an anonymous artist. The rustic piece depicts an open hand facing upwards, with a red and blue all-seeing eye gazing outward from the palms center. The work rests on a rectangular painted wooden base. Ear, chips and disintegration to some edges of the sculpture; overall wear, nicks, chipping and scuffs to sculpture and base; marks, discoloration, dust and accretion present throughout; chipping to paint; flaking to finish throughout base.
