Wonderful vintage original carving with great local historical significance. Nice look, carved on single slab of wood, good size to work in any space, with very sweet dedication “to Grampy” Christmas 1975 with an illegible signature. Just a fabulous item and not something you will likely find again. Please use photos and zoom feature for most accurate condition. Measures 10″ by 6″ and 1.75 thick. I do not know much about this sculpture. It was found in downeast Maine. I think the wood is cedar. Happy to answer any questions. Or take information if you have any to share. It’s a haunting and beautiful piece. The artist’s hand is very present as you can see the chisel marks.

This nicely carved bed is from France and is in the French Rococo style of Louis XV. The bed is made from solid and veneered walnut with excellent hand carved details. The warm walnut coloring is outstanding and has a beautiful finish. This bed is in very good antique condition: there are minor nicks and scratches consistent with the bed’s age. Note that there are some cracks in the headboard and some missing pieces of trim on the rails (see photos). The rails are slightly bowed as well but still work fine. Dimensions: The headboard is 53.75″ tall, 78″ wide and 4 deep. The foot board is 57.75″ wide, 36.75″ tall and 3 deep. The original mattress opening is 75″ X 51″. Description of item for sale. This is a phenomenal hand carved deep relief wall sculpture. It has a fantastic Norse design and depicts Vikings and their ships. It is in great vintage condition and is quite large too. It measures 35″ wide x 21″ tall x 21 1/4 deep. This is truly an one of a kind piece and appears to have been made in the early 70s.
