9-piece lot of vintage Dastra wood carving chisels from Germany. High-quality German steel and craftsmanship here! Tough to say whether or not these chisels have been used or not; however, it is clear that if they were used, then it was only lightly and that they have been well cared for by past owners! Three gouges – #8 10m, #8 10m/m, and #20 14m/m. #20 handle and brass collar are cracked, but the tang is secure in the handle. Three scoops – #28 18m/m scoop/gouge (file handle replacement, not original), #21 8m/m, and #21 3m/m. One single skew – #2 10m/m. Two straight edge – #1 3m/m (file handle replacement, not original) and #1 6m/m (no handle). Some of the brass collars have slight cracks, but all chisels are secure in their handles. Such a high starting price… Yeah, yeah, I know, but let’s cut the BS… Would be an absolute steal!!! Nice original (11) piece set of vintage J. Henckels chisels Made in Germany from the 1960’s. There are (4) gouges that have 180 deg radiuses, (3) more with mild radiuses. Then there is (1) with a 90 deg V shape. Then there are (3) that are flat with different widths. They are lightly used and don’t appear to have been sharpened. Staining, spotting and some rust spots from storage. All of the handles are tight. Comes with homemade solid Mahogany organizer block. See photos for size and condition of each tool.
