Signed – Ron Ushing. Ushing’s work certainly did not go unnoticed. In 1983 he was named. The first Wyoming Valley Chapter of Ducks. Unlimited’s Artist of the Year. 7, he received additional acclaim. This time the Ducks Unlimited chapter named him. Artist of the Decade to recognize his artistic achievements and his tireless efforts in behalf of wetlands conservation. I like to study each bird’s posture. And incorporate that into the carving. This hawk is ready to go. It has just spotted prey and it’s ready to leap into the air. That’s the pose I tried to capture. Ushing’s work is expensive, but it’s impossible to put a price on experience. Or attach a value statement to the prestigious awards. He has earned over the years. A carving by Ushing is in a league of its own. Let’s put it this way. This hawk goes for about five times that amount. Exquisite details and craftsmanship. In pre-owned, good condition. Light wear due to age. Tips of the wings damaged, missing as shown. 18 H (including base). 23 W (tip of the wings). 13 1/2″ x 9″. Please check the pictures – what you see is what you get. This item is in the category “Art\Art Sculptures”. The seller is “classyboutiquestore” and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped worldwide.
