These are made out of solid oak and they are extremely old. Our guess is that they were created in the late 18th century. Truly museum quality with extremely deep and detailed carving. Their origin is from a museum in Greece but they must have been created either in England or most probably in Germany from the Black Forest region. The majestic dimensions of the pheasant plaque are 115 centimeters long 55 centimeters wide and 15 centimeters thick!!! As far as I can tell it has no cracks, no recent restorations (the last 20 years) and no missing parts either. This unique piece is in perfect condition for its age with normal signs of age and use, original finish, some age separations on the flat back, a validation of age and originality! I always provide multiple photos that should be considered as an integral part of the description. NOT for like-new condition!!!
