This abstract wood sculpture is made of solid wood in three parts. The sculpture does not have abase and can be placed in all directions as desired with a different viewpoint each time. Since it is solid wood it is fairly substantial and impressive. The colors are as found, but since it is painted it could be given a whole new life with different colors. Placed on a plinth it will create an immediate and stunning focal point. Condition is very good, no defects. Measurements are: 19″ by 16″ by 15.

This sophisticated hand-sculpted natural ash burl abstract reclining female recalls the early pieces of Henry Moore and is mounted on 1 1/4″ x 11″ x 6 7/8″ polished black slate plinth and measures 7″ tall overall. As the images show, it displays beautifully from all angles and the artist has followed the natural burl grain and form as he/she carefully plished and oiled the wood to accentuate its natural beauty. This a wonderful hand-carved and painted miniature “Wood Duck Drake” decoy with glass eyes, detailed feather painting and realistic coloration. Created by master Illinois carver, Charles Moore, from De Kalb, Illinois. Moore who carves in the Illinois River style has been carving for over 40 years; this decoy is from early in his carving career. He is also noted for his expert restorations of works of prior greats from his field. The decoy measures 10″ in length, 4″ in width and 4 in height. Marked on the bottom Chas.
