This coordinated set includes one highly dynamic, expressive sculpture depicting two rearing/fighting stallions, and a second complementary sculpture showcasing a peaceful grazing horse. Both pieces showcase exceptional detail, capturing the fluid muscle structure, flowing manes, and powerful grace characteristic of the elite carvers of the Ubud district. The base of the rearing horses features a fully legible, authentic hand-inscribed record of origin. Utu / Banjar Utu neighborhood. Both statues are structurally intact with a gorgeous, warm golden grain. Please note a typical vintage hairline stress crack along the lower legs of the rearing stallions-a natural consequence of aging tropical hardwood that adds authentic character without impacting display stability.
