This is a fantastic Vintage JL Ruiz – 1903 – (Jose Luis) Male Portrait, Folk Art Wood Carving. This delightful Handmade, Hand Carved Figure of Boy with Hat has some incredible details, from the fingers to the face. This piece is signed by noted Mid-Century Mexican Sculptor J. Ruiz on backside of base. I love his proportions, particularly the feet and hands, a definite style of this noted sculptor. This original fine art piece looks to be an Antique, as he definitely looks a bit older than 20 years. Piece is circa 1Early 20th Century. This piece is in excellent vintage condition, with some Definite, expected wear and scuff. Please Zoom the photos to appreciate all the terrific details, as well as to best understand overall condition. Carving measures 10.75″ tall on a 3.25″ x 4.25 base.
