Constructed in an hexagonal shape it is intricately and profusely carved in relief with leaves/vines over every side and the top. It is a nice size and is a good looking and practical piece of furniture. It is in good original condition with only minor surface wear/marks commensurate with age and use. Vintage, Mid-Century Modern Chair Description and Item Information Up for sale is this vintage, mid-century modern chair. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This chair is made from bent / molded plywood. It has a sleek, sculptural shape. The finish is brown stain, with painted black edges and leg grooves. The chair is approximately 31 3/4 inches tall, 17 3/4 inches wide, and 22 inches deep (from front to back). Unpacked, it weighs around 8 pounds. This chair would be a fabulous addition to a mid-century modern decor. Identification This chair has no markings that would indicate the maker. This is a vintage chair from a northern California estate; the exact age is not known. Condition The chair looks very good overall, with very light wear. It was recently refinished, and it has a beautiful, warm color with a matte finish. The black edge was neatly re-painted. Beneath the seat, there are small tack holes from previous upholstery (see example area in Photo 4). There are some minor and very fine splits to the legs, parallel to the wood grain. Vintage mid-century Frederico Armijo carved wood snail sculpture side/end/coffee table. Has a square marble top with brass medallion center. I don’t see any makers markings on it. It measures 25.5″ long x 19″ wide x 17.5 tall. Marble top is 19″x19″. Shows some light wear (hard to tell what’s natural to the sculpture versus what is wear). The marble top has a small chip on one edge and has a few scuffs/marks on it. The brass center accent shows some light tarnish. The snail has some possible discolored areas (whitish hue) and probably small chips/nicks. Please use zoom function to see condition details on all photos.
