DESCRIPTION: Read full description including measurements before purchasing. SMALL Antique Vintage stool from Ethiopia Africa. This is a small Ethiopian 3 legged stool. It is carved from 1 piece of wood. Although a small stool, many today are used as sculptural art. It could even be used as a pedestal. It is a 3 legged Ethiopian stool. This primitive piece has excellent patina. Smaller than others I have seen. Although exact age is unknown I would safely say 50 to 100 years old. My guestimate would be this is from the early 1900s. The piece features a concave round stool top on 3 curved legs. Antique Vintage African stool. Good condition for age. All carved from 1 piece of wood. Hand carved with lots of old tool marks. No breaks or repairs. Natural shrinkage age crack on stool(structurally sound). Beautiful sculptural piece, a work of art on its own. Measures 8 1/4″ in diameter and about 7 1/4″ tall. We have been long time collectors and dealers of early English Transferware, Quality 19th century furniture, and Victoriana. We always strive to describe the items to the best of our abilities. All items we sell are old and will show appropriate wear and tear, the pieces will not look brand new. They will have character. We are only responsible for the item while in our possession. This is a VINTAGE AFRICAN ASHANTI TRIBAL CHIEF’S CHAIR – YOUNG MAN OR BOY HOLDING UP A TRIBAL V. Th is historically important sculptural chair or stool is carved from a single piece of rare African hardwood and measures about 13-1/2″ tall with a 9″ by 19-1/2 seat top. The vintage chair is in very good authentically tribal – used conditio n with signs of age and wear (2 corners are chipped). The hand – carved hard wood is dense and solid heavy weight and with much natural character.
