This is a very unique sculpture, looking like some combination of Witco style and Cubism. It is signed Cortez near the bottom of the front, but I don’t have any more info on them. It is overall 29 tall, consisting of a wood carving sitting on a twisted brass pipe that is mounted to a piece of granite. It weighs 12 lbs. 7.5 oz, with most of the weight due to the base, which is 6.5″ x 6.5″ x 2 3/8. By itself, the wood is a bit under 24″ x 3″ x 3. The wood has light wear with scratches and small chips. The base has a polished top, but the four sides are not polished, and one has a stain. It has some small and tiny chips. The wood is currently at a slight angle. It could probably be straightened by bending the twisted brass pipe. The wood is not fixed to the pipe; it just sits using gravity. It moves back and forth when tapped, so it also qualifies as a piece of kinetic art. The sculpture has a hole through it, which looks like it was part of the wood before it was carved. One of the bends of the brass pipe has a couple of cracks. One of the rubber feet is missing from the bottom.

ITEM : For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare set of three (3) unique tiki / tribal head string art wall hanging plaques. Colors: Black, White and Red. They do not appear to be signed insofar as we’ve been able to detect. They display nicely, and are ready for their next home. Each head measures approx. 21.75″ tall x 7″ wide x 2 deep. CONDITION : Very good, all-original vintage condition – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. All of the string is in place, and it is taut. Up for sale is a fantastic vintage New Zealand Maori Tekoteko wood carving signed with a capital P for Stuart Pyne. The carving stands a little over 17.5″ tall and approximately 4.25″ square at the base. It has Paua shell eyes. The carving has some minor scuffs and scratches as well as two dings on the left side as seen in photos 9 and 10. Please check out the photos and let me know if you have any questions.

Large tall, friendly cat sculpture. Blue/green eyes with a confident smile. Natural raffia type collar. Has some minor nicks and scratches, no cracks, breaks or repairs. Free standing but could hang on a wall if a hook was added.

There is an anchoring system on the back.
