Hand c arved Wooden Figure with Brass Base, mid-20th century Stylized carved wooden figure in warm-toned hardwood, mounted on a flat brass base. The sculpture depicts a nude African woman form with elongated proportions and smooth, flowing contours. The restrained modeling and polished surface reflect a modernist approach to figurative sculpture characteristic of mid-20th-century Austrian decorative arts. The work is consistent in style and materials with Viennese production of the period. T otal Height: 11 or 28 cm. The wooden figure shows minor surface wear consistent with age, including slight discoloration and scattered light surface scratches. These do not affect the overall appearance or structural integrity of the piece. The bronze base is in good condition. Overall, the sculpture is in very good condition.
