Wonderful pair of vintage hand-carved Wood Spirit / forest spirit face sculpture wall hangings, carved directly into naturally shaped pieces of wood. Each carving incorporates the original shape, grain, bark and irregularities of the wood into the character’s face, beard and head, giving each piece a completely individual appearance. Both are marked Kelly. Wonderfully expressive elongated faces with deeply carved eyes, noses, mouths and flowing beard details. Approximate longest piece: 11″- 12″. Both are pre-owned vintage folk-art pieces and retain the natural characteristics of the wood, including irregular edges, grain, knots, checking/splits and surface variation.
