Vintage hand-carved wooden horse sculpture or architectural/folk-art fragment mounted on a custom black display stand. The carving features a detailed saddle, bridle/harness, mane and facial features. The horse has a deliberately truncated/fragmentary form and is displayed on two metal supports, giving it the appearance of an architectural, ceremonial or folk-art fragment rather than a conventional freestanding horse figurine. Horse carving: approximately 15 inches long. Black display base: approximately 10½-11 inches long. Please use the photographs with the measuring tape for additional scale. Unmarked as far as I can determine but most likely from India. A very decorative piece for an equestrian, folk art, primitive, architectural salvage or global décor collection.
