This listing is for the carved wood sculpture of a Hindu Goddess or Deity that you see in the photos. There were many antique and vintage items at the sale. I do not know where it was carved. My guess would be India. It measures close to 47 ½ inches long. At the base, it measures close to 14 3/8 inches wide. It measures about 4 to 4 1/2 inches thick depending on where it is measured. It weighs close to 19 pounds 12 ounces. I do not know what kind of wood it is carved from. To me, it feels relatively heavy and the wood looks dense. It is a light colored wood that appears to have been stained to darken it. The photos were taken in direct sunlight so wood looks lighter and the shadows are darker than they likely to look with indoor lighting. When placed on a level floor it tends to lean towards the back side. It will not stand without some kind of support. I think that it would probably be best displayed against a wall or hung upon a strong wall. The condition is much like you see it in the photos. It is generally in very good to excellent condition. The photos show some rough areas along the edge of the base that I think are from when it was made. There are some minor cracks on the back side that I think are probably from when it was made. There is a little dust in the difficult to clean areas. Otherwise, it is generally fine and as shown. I guarantee this carved wood goddess to be as described and represented by the 21 photos after the general description. The photos are part of the description. Please look at all of them. Please know that the lighting in my photos is uneven and that there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors. Different monitors may show different colors. I often say that an item measures or weighs close to because in my opinion no measurements are exact and some things are difficult to measure. Often, I have a double wall box custom made for larger items and that might result in a short delay. When I use packing peanuts, they are usually biodegradable.
