When I saw this gorgeous double swan my jaw dropped to the floor. The size of this swan is grand and it is ready to impress! Made by a local artist / wood carver in New Orleans. Wood appears to be cypress. Swan is painted white across the body and distressed. The bills and eyes are black with distressing. The finish appears to be a clear lacquer. The faces of the swans are so pretty. The swans are one piece, but they were reinforced with wood screws by the artist. The tail feathers naturally swoop out like a real swan as the cypress trunk was left uncarved. I attached a jersey bow around the neck for a decorative touch, but I won’t send that, unless you specifically request it. There is a crack in the paint where the head joint is, on the larger swan, but it is not damaged. If you need more pictures, just let me know. This would be gorgeous in a French country, farmhouse style home etc! Measures approximately: 46″ long 21″ high x 24 deep. Found at a New Orleans, Louisiana estate.
