This is a small vintage hand carved wood and all hand painted cat whistle sculpture! The cat’s body removes from the top of the candle where its lower body has a whistle. Connie Robert’s, American folk artist is brilliant and will have you laughing for days! I own several of her sculptures and each one brings me so much joy. See my other listings for more! Dates: sculpture is not dated-probably done within the last 40+ years. Measures: 13.25″H x 8″ x 8.25. Condition: several chips, sporadic paint drips, spots, stains, loss, paint loss, fading and or discoloration. Scuffs, scratches, dust and debris pockets along with wear from age and use. It’s not in perfect condition but it as cute as a button! It will need repair and touch up for chips and damage described above. Repair is not necessary as the chips are small and the condition just adds character. Whistle does not work that great but it does make noise. Warning: This sculpture will give you the giggles!
