Ib Kofod-Larsen for Selig structural rocking chair. Original and vintage, circa 1960’s. Organic green upholstered cushions on walnut stained beechwood frame. Dimensions are 37″H x 32.5″W x 33D. This is an extremely rare. Scandinavian design by Kofod which is comparable to a Wegner or Nakashima piece in terms of craftsmanship. Beautiful example of a somewhat under-appreciated Danish modern design. This particular rocker has been reupholstered to spec and oiled to rejuvenate the wooden frame. Expected wear to back of chair which creaks a bit when rocking. This only adds to the vintage aura in our opinion. Very comfortable and lovely lines. Fantastic example of a hard to find design.
