This offering is for a vintage 1970’s to 1980’s Wooden Figure of a Woman by noted outsider artist George Colin. Mr Colin lived and worked in Salisbury Illinois until his death in 2014. This figure measures app. 54 tall and represent a young woman. The artwork is signed COLIN below her waist and she retains her original paint in excellent condition. The figure was displayed out doors for an extended period as evidenced by the deterioration to the bottom of her legs from being in contact with the ground. The right arm looks like it’s probably missing the shoulder to elbow section, if so it’s been gone for years base on the aging to the exposed end. These wooden artworks were produced by Mr Colin in far few numbers than his drawings and paintings. They have become quite difficult to find and this example if one of the nicest examples we have ever seen. You will simply need to put the arms back in place and tap the existing nails back in place upon it’s arrival. If additional photo’s are needed or you have need of answers to questions we do not address we will be happy to supply them. WE USUALLY SEND OUR INVOICE WITHIN 1 HOUR OF THE AUCTIONS ENDING.
