This exceptional carved and painted alebrije depicting a winged and horned demon with TONS of personality dates to the 1970s and stands 16 1/4 tall. As the images convey, the figure is delightful viewed from any angle and the meticulaously painted details are in fine condition. He is an impressive 6 3/4″ deep and measures 8 3/4″ wide (wings); 6″ wide (ears) and 4″ wide (arms). The bottom of one foot is fully signed as shown by one of the more influential creators of alebrijes in modern Mexican art history. It is in very fine condition with minor dust and dirt from display.
