Base measures 8 inches wide. The lamp is in GREAT used condtion. The lamp has been rewired to meet all current NEC requirements. My grandfather originally bought this lamp while he was stationed abroad in the late 60s. Not sure if it was new then or if it dates back even further. Please message me with any questions.
