Stunning midcentury modern teak wood sculpture by Simon Randers / Mobelfabrik of mother and child. This abstract teak sculpture of a mother and child measures about 16.5″ tall and about 4″ wide. It is signed / stamped on the bottom of the piece. This piece was made in Denmark in the 1950s and is in very good condition. There is a faint line (about 1 inch long) on the back of the mother’s head that may be an old scratch or just part of the wood, but it is difficult to see and doesn’t detract from the sculpture.
