Unlike common small commercial carvings, this piece features incredible depth and three-dimensional presence, projecting 8 inches out from the wall. Sharp tool markings are visible along the outer chiseled edges. Style: Baroque/Renaissance/Traditional Material: Solid natural hardwood with a gorgeous flowing grain pattern running seamlessly through the figures. Most likely solid European Beech wood, identifiable by its signature fine flecked grain pattern and heavy density. Includes a faint, impressed maker’s mark or workshop stamp on the reverse side.
