Incredibly Unique LIFE-SIZE Hand-Carved Sculpture of a Woman in a sitting position. Vintage piece – I would estimate it to have been made circa 1940’s – 60’s that’s just my best personal guess though.. I have not been able to locate a signature anywhere on the piece. It was obviously created by a very talented individual. Amazingly, she is perfectly balanced, and able to sit on the edge of a solid chair without the use of any additional supports or braces (as pictured). (Chair is NOT Included). This is a HUGE (LIFE-SIZE) Piece. Approximate Overall Dimensions: 51″ H x 21″ W x 27 D. I have never personally seen anything else quite like this before. This is truly a ONE-OF-A-KIND / ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME kind of piece! If you are in the market for a piece of art which will surely stand out as the centerpiece of most any collection, then this IS the piece for you! It appears that this piece was carved from a single piece of wood. The only parts that I can find which may have been fused on are a few small sections of her hands. Overall condition is very good to excellent (as pictured). It does have a few natural flaws (as is completely normal with large wood sculptures) – for example: the crack in the wood which runs vertically along the right size of her face (please refer to photos).
