This is hand painted on artist wood cut panel with an acrylic? Overlay and a mounted painted mirror. Added gold trimming applied over painting under resin. Please carefully read condition. Mitchell- Looks to read “Jane” but not certain. I, amongst many others have tried to identify who the artist is but cannot find anything like this or with a matching signature to compare. This could have been a special project by the artist. Signed on front lower right as shown. Dates: exact age is unknown- sculpture is not dated-assumed to be 80’s-early 90’s. Medium: mixed medium-hand painted on artist wood cut panel with what appears to be an acrylic resin overlay and a mounted painted mirror. Paint was probably acrylic. 31.75″H (highest point) x 60″L. 75 thick not including mirror. 25″ thick making this sculpture about 1″ thick in total. Condition: There are several small chips!! Based on the scale they are small but there. First, the mirror has a chips on the bottom rim as shown. The corners of this sculpture have cracks, chips, dings, scuffs, scratches, paint loss, holes and wear. Additionally there are many surface scratches, scuffs, some stains, spots, surface abrasions, smudges, some mild paint loss under acrylic or resin, drills holes on top of middle panels (not sure if this was intentional by artist or not), other holes on sides and tops of wood, abrasions, deep scratches, paint loss, loss, wear and damage. Personally, the chips to mirror, surface scuffs and scratches present the most visible wear. I would presume this could be professionally buffed out and or restored. These conditions are noticeable visible up close. While, it is in rather good condition for age, it could use some repair. Most of the corner cracks and chips come from moving and use.
