This is a spectacular work of art, but I can’t figure out who made it. It’s signed RP on the bottom of the wood carving. By itself, the wood is about 14.5″ x 6.75″ x 7, weighing 14 lbs. It’s carved in a cubist style, showing a mother with her child. It’s carved out of a heavier wood, and has a lot of hairline cracks from the wood aging. The sculpture sits on an 8″ x 8.5″ x. 75 travertine marble base that weighs 5 lbs. With a cut-out piece of felt on top for the wood to sit on. The travertine has a small chip on the top corner, and two small chips on the bottom corners.
