Rustic American flag #855 is a real beauty! This 100 year old oak is full of character with nail holes, knot holes and some nice antique circular saw marks. It was salvaged be me from a farm in western North Carolina, where it was used as an outbuilding for more than 100 years. Built to last, this oak is a full one inch thick and still solid as a rock! I personally hand paint the flag onto the antique boards, and then give it a distressed, rustic look using my special technique. This technique includes several coats of a durable oil-based finish on both sides, so it is suitable for indoor or outdoor display, and sturdy galvanized wire is attached for hanging. Just let me know. I make all of these flags myself, from sourcing and paying for the rare vintage wood, to the 3 layers of finish I personally apply.
