
Hand carved, hand painted Chukar bird sculpture completed in 1979 by Perry B. Signed on the back of the rock/base “P B Holley 79″ as pictured. Largest bird is approximately 8″ tall from head to foot, but head reaches 13″ above the wood base. Delicate green plants and sturdy legs/feet are made of painted metal. Acrylic case measures 17-1/8″ tall by 16-1/4″ long and 9-1/4 deep and is attached to the wood base with 4 small screws. The wood base measures 16-1/2″ long by 9-1/2″ deep and is 1″ high, making the entire piece 18-1/8″ tall. The Chukar bird, also known as the Chukar Partridge, is a small, stocky ground-dwelling game bird native to the Middle East and Asia. I have removed the acrylic cover and carefully examined this piece. I can find no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs of any kind. The acrylic rectangular box is in good condition with no cracks, chips, repairs. I can find one minor scratch. This item will be double-boxed and entombed in Styrofoam, cardboard, glue and shredded paper. Unpacking instructions will be provided. Total weight, prior to packaging, is 17 lbs. The wood base is solid and the rock is real. Item will be insured and require adult signature upon receipt.
