This is an Original Vintage 1950’s Karl Hagenauer Design African Native Hunter or Warrior Art Deco Sculpture in pristine original condition. This is a Hagenauer design which he reproduced in his Austria studio in slight variations in brass, ebonized and other woods. If you are a Hagenauer collector then you are probably familiar with this design. It is not signed but the history would suggest that it is original. My Aunt was a traveler and collector and acquired two of these as a set in the 1950’s. With her passing in 1980 they went into storage and were recently passed to me. The pair are identical except for minor variations in facial features. The spear and necklace are intact and in perfect condition. Material is black ebonized wood. Please look at the photos and please ask any questions that you might have. The spear is perfect and sturdy but will be packaged in a protective tube for extra protection.
