Vintage antique tribal African Snake Goddess Mask. This mask is one of several that my Grandfather brought back from his missionary journeys to Africa. This unique piece of historic art was created between 1935 and 1950 and was recently found in a trunk in my Grandparents Basement. Created from Ebony Wood which is a very hard black wood with red tones. I do not know where in Africa or the tribe associated with it. My grandfather traveled all over Africa for 15 years. There are 5 faces and two serpents in this piece. Highly detailed, and excellent condition for its age. Most likely one of a kind and truly a piece of history and Vintage Tribal Art. Measures 23.5″ tall x 13″ wide x 1.5 thick. The item “Vintage African Hand Carving Wood Tribal Female Mask Wall Art” is in sale since Sunday, May 31, 2020.
