Vintage 1970s MID Century Danish Modern Wood Glass Wind Chime Scandinavian Hanging Mobile Art Sculpture. Item: Vintage, circa 1960s – 1970s, rare unique large 52 in length hanging mobile wind chime art sculpture. Picked at an estate tag sale from a time capsule home that was full of vintage Scandinavian art objects and decor. I suspect that this may be one of a kind as that no research has produced any like item. This was hanging in wall to wall glass window Florida room at the estate – where it appeared it had hung for many decades of it’s life. It has 4 carved wooden sculpture pieces attached to soldered copper wiring, small tube piping with wooden ball beads and 9 round art glass discs in blue, plum/purple and beige/apricot colors. There was also (not attached and no place where it appears missing) a lone green art glass disc with wire hook attachment. You can certainly tell the sculpture has age – late 1960s to early 1970s – based on the wiring. It’s super groovy and should live a new life in a swanky modern pad. It measures 52″ in total length and is 17″ wide. The glass discs are 3.75″ wide and the wood sculptures range from 8″ to 10 wide. Era: 1960s – 1970s. Style: Mid Century Modern, Modernist, Danish.
