This studio crafted sculptural pedestal of end table dates to the early 1960s and is hand-cut from screwed, bolted and pegged sections of cedar post with end-grain top. Measuring just 18 tall x 11 5/8 x 11 ΒΌ overall, it retains an original black painted and stained finish which allows some grain and wood plugs to remain visible. As the images show, there are stable age/shrinkage cracks and old (later) nylon gliders on the feet. Great as a cocktail table or riser for mid-century sculpture, it is sturdy and usable with nice presence.
