Vintage hand carved horse. 8″H x 8.5″ L x 3 wide.
I do not know much about this sculpture. It was found in downeast Maine. I think the wood is cedar. Happy to answer any questions. Or take information if you have any to share. It’s a haunting and beautiful piece. The artist’s hand is very present as you can see the chisel marks.
This is an original Jose Pinal wood carving. This looks in great condition with normal age and wear, it looks like his hat was broken at some point and was repaired with glue, this is not noticeable unless it’s being inspected closely, I almost missed it.
